Each year the EWG, or Environmental Working Group, tests fruits and vegetables for harmful chemicals. Nearly 70 percent of the fresh produce sold in the U.S. contains residues of potentially harmful chemical pesticides, according to EWG’s analysis of the latest test data from the federal Department of Agriculture.
The 2020 Dirty Dozen report is below and strawberries are, again, at the top of the list of fresh produce tested!
The 2020 Clean Fifteen report shows the "cleanest" produce which can be purchased and eaten conventionally (non-organic). Thankfully, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and onions are on this list--items I purchase almost every week!
